01.대상자선정
 
Health examination carried out according to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Article 98, Paragraph 2 of the Rules by employees to ensure health of their employees who are people engaged in works that are exposed to 177 harmful factors designated as targets of special health examination in Annexed Table 12-2 of the Rules and people who have changed their jobs or places of work after being diagnosed with possible occupational diseases as a result of employees' health examination and receive doctors' opinions that they need health examination on the harmful factors, which are the causes of the suspected occupational diseases.
 
 
① For persons engaged in works exposed to the 177 types of harmful factors that are subject to special health examination, special health examination must be administered at the time and period designated by each of the target harmful factors.

② For persons who received doctors' opinions that they need health examination on harmful factors as the causes of suspected occupational diseases, special health examination must be administered at the time considered necessary by the doctors who have diagnosed the respective persons (Article 99, Paragraph 3 of the Rules).

③ For high-risk group employees, the employers must reduce the cycle of special health examination by 1/2 per each of the related harmful factors according to the results of working environment measuring or of special health examination.
 
 
① Implementation by: Medical institutions for special health examination (Article 98-3, Paragraph 1 of the Rules)

② Examination Items: Examination items are divided into primary and secondary examination items. Detailed examination items by harmful factor are the same as of Annexed Table 13 of the Rules (Article 100, Paragraph 4 of the Rules).

③ For high-risk group employees, the employers must reduce the cycle of special health examination by 1/2 per each of the related harmful factors according to the results of working environment measuring or of special health examination. .
 
02.실시방법 및 준수사항
 
① In case special health examination is not administered: Fine of KRW 10 million or less
(KRW 50,000, KRW 100,000 and KRW 150,000 at the first, second and third violations respectively per employee for whom special health examination is not administered)

② In case appropriate measures recognized as a result of special health examination to be necessary in maintaining health of employees are not implemented: Fine of KRW 10 million or less

③ In case employees do not receive health examination provided by their respective employers without justifiable reasons: Fine imposed on the employees
(KRW 50,000, KRW 100,000 and KRW 150,000 at the first, second and third violations respectively)
※ Standards for fine imposition according to the count of violations are applied to the cases in which fines have been imposed as a result of the same violation in the last two years.

1차 검진결과 통보
 
For health examination methods and other necessary details, health examination implementation standards and guidelines for health examination practice must be followed (Article 100, Paragraph 8 of the Rules).
